In-N-Out Style Beef Burger
All you’ll need is your BBQ and a pan for your onions. The onions should be crispy and softened, not caramelised.
1) Heat the butter and one tablespoon of oil in a non-stick pan over your BBQ. Add the onions and a little salt and fry for 5-6 minutes until softened and golden.Remove the pan and set aside. Keep warm.
2) Season the meat well with sea salt and black pepper. Divide the mix in four, shape into balls and flatten with a spatula. Add the burgers to a hot grill, season again, then cook for 3-5 minutes either side until charred. When you flip the burgers immediately top with the cheese slices. Allow to melt.
3) Spread some of the burger sauce on the base of each bun. Top with the sliced tomato, lettuce and arrange two of the patties onto each base. Then top each burger with the onions and some more sauce.
Serve with In + Out Animal Style fries and a milkshake.
