Cooking Instructions

Cooking time: 40 Min.
  1. Peel and chop the onions and simmer in hot butter.
  2. Sprinkle with honey and leave to caramelize.
  3. Season with salt and pepper and leave to cool.
  4. Take half of the basil leaves and finely chop them.
  5. Season with onions and goat cheese and taste.
  6. Wash the cherry tomatoes, cut off the top third and carefully hollow tomatoes with a small spoon.
  7. Fill the tomatoes with the onions and cheese, place on a plate.
  8. Garnish with remaining basil leaves.
  9. Serve with salted crackers or fresh ciabatta.

 

Tip: Small cherry tomatoes are great as finger food, although the larger tomatoes make less work when filling.
